Everybody has probably asked that before. And this question can lead to some endless discussion. But the answer is quite simple.
The best camera is the one you carry.
How useful is a feature-rich camera when you left it at home or in the hotel? The camera I always have with me is my iPhone. There are countless apps to postprocess photos on the iPhone. But I use less than a handful of them. Composition is not as easy as with the M9 or a DSLR. Focussing and exposure can be tricky at times. At least for me.
Though not perfect, the iPhone is the best camera...when I left my M9 at home again for some lazy reason.
