DisConnected?

For the last decade, latest with the arrival of "smart" phones, you can observe a permanent availability and use of phones. While walking or working, while in the lift or in the train, your phone is your best buddy.

When the telephone was invented in the late 19th century, it helped to connect people exchanging information over long distances. The technology has evolved tremendously over the last 100years and so has the usage. Today, people still use phones to connect with people over long distances or to connect over the internet.

But there is a trend that the people within short distance become less important. I am as guilty as the next guy. However, once you noticed, it can be very interesting to watch it or take photos ;-)

How would Shakespeare put it: Connected or Disconnected, that is the question.

With this, I am kicking off my first photography project:

Phones and their impact on the society
